IN STOCK: Epiphone SG w/Hoxey Aluminum Neck - EBONY

I snapped up this Epiphone SG with the chambered Hoxey neck as the price was too good to pass on. I'd been looking to get an SG for a while, so to get one with a black anodised chambered neck with block MOP inlays was a dream. Out of the box the guitar had zero neck dive, and the whole thing weighed in at a decent 3.5kg/7.7 lbs. It sounded pleasingly huge with the ceramic 8-magnet humbuckers through my Peavey Deuce VT head. The action was a little high for my preference, so I lowered the bridge and sanded down the base of the Graphtech nut for an easy fix. The Graphtech Ratio locking tuners hold the strings firmly in place. I was a bit concerned that the EZAF heel system might not transfer sustain as well as the aluminium heel, but this has not disappointed. Harmonics fly off the fretboard, and in Drop D this thing Dooms and Clangs more than enough. An absolute bargain that cost way less than the price of the neck alone. This is my sixth Hoxey purchase. I love these guys and what they do!
